the gorge

my favorite week of the year= trip up to firefighters campground at flaming gorge for the calder famile reunion!!

it was really rainy the whole time there, but we really wanted to go to the lake one day. so the 6 calder girls all took a trip to the lake event thought it was overcast, and probably only 75 degrees. here we are before we took the plunge!

sunday night we always have dinner together with the whole family, and we have some kind of program. here ash and i are just messing around while having smores after the program

these fine ladies are my cousins, and aunt. i love them quite alot. my aunt has gone to girls camp for years and she happened to have a camp song book! so we all sang along to the silly girls camp songs that always bring back memories:)

we always go on this pretty great hike on sunday. this year we got 21 people to come with us. a bunch of the older boy cousins found it one year while exploring. it starts right off the firefighters memorial by our camp loop, then goes down the side of the mountain to a field. then you climb down a bunch of rocks a ways, then at the bottom is a river that we hike up to the falls! its the best because we found it. here we are when we jumped in at the end, then everyone else jumped in! so much for not swimming on sundays...ha :/

saturday night danny really wanted to go the lake becuause he was leaving. it was too cold for us to swim, but we went and explored to see if there was any beach at all.

washoos= the homemade game by my grandpa using wood, carpet, colorful paint, and washers. object of the game=to get the washers in the little holes for points. its quite addictive.

we had a blast this year. it was really rainy the whole time so that was kinda a downer, but it was still awesome! every year has its adventures and surprises. i love my family!!!!

you know what makes me happy?

cleaning my trailer. thats what makes me happy:)

we are leaving for flaming gorge in approx......5 hours:) and im still not asleep....

but thats ok because i will have unlimited energy tomorrow!

well no blogging for at least a week because i will be paradise!!

leadership retreat

so last week for 3 days, a group of 50 of my peers in leaderships groups bused up to park city for a retreat. we first hit olympic park and had a blast! we then started our leadership training with miss utah!! it was aaammazzzing. we played some games that really opened my eyes, and made me realize some things about people i had made wrong assumptions about. we then checked into our hotel, and met our 3 other random roommates. i really liked my roommates and had a fun time getting to know these girls whom i had never really talked to before this trip. the next day we had a spirit bowl, and were put into random teams of blue, green, and white. that was a blast!!! It was really funny though because right after mr. park said, " dont kick the ball or the sprinklers on ceiling will pop it" well....a kid did just that. after that, 4 or 5 people got hurt, and we decided to stop. haha it was quite the enteirtaning sight not gonna lie. we also had lots of free time to swim, go shopping, and just play around.

that night we went to main street and had dinner and the wasatch brewery pub haha. it was soooo good! i got a delicious salad, and a pizza to share with my table. the next day we had some more training and we went back home. on the way home, we stopped in heber for lunch, and chels and i got shakes and frys from dairy keen which is my favorite place evveerr!

overall, this was an interesting, eye opening, and kinda weird experience for me. i dont really know anyone on student council, lia, or pack even which i am in, so it was interesting interacting with them all week. i definetly learned alot, and this year is going to be way different than any other year!

best friends in love

here...is one of the best routines on sytycd i have ever seen. soo amazing!! the story behind it is that the guy had been left at the alter, and he comes to his best friend ( the girl in the dance) and she is always there for him. Then by the middle of the dance, he realizes he loves her:) soooo cute!
